My cousin Nicholas and his wife Carine got married in Mauritius, and they had asked me if I wanted to shoot their wedding! How could I refuse? Not only I got to go on vacation, but also got to see all my relatives who I haven’t seen in years! It was definitely worth getting away from the Canadian lifestyle for a while and going back to what I used to be used to. I guess all my relatives took advantage of that as well and all flew from Montreal, USA, Cape Town, Australia, Reunion Island (Google it), England and probably other countries that I cannot recall or forgot to list. It was such a big reunion and something that I will cherish forever.
Their reception was held at Domain Anna, Flic en Flac
The photos taken at Nicholas’ house were taken by my second shooter, Farhana Toorab.

So I finally found a bit a free time to write this one. I finally got the chance to head back to Mauritius Island once again, for the 3rd time. I left Canada around mid-July and flew back on August 2nd. 3 weeks was definitely not enough, but as you probably already know, everytime you think that your vacation was not long enough it means that you definitely enjoyed every single minute of it!
My uncles took me out for a hiking at Black River Peak, 850m high which is also the highest point. I never been hiking before that and I was not sure what I was getting myself into but I was definitely ready to face what was to come. Once I reached the top, I felt a great sense of accomplishment and the view from up there was absolutely mesmerizing! I always got to see motherland from street level, but getting to see it from up high was just mind blowing and it looks so different and so peaceful.

What a fun wedding this was, and what a fun couple were Yao and Al! I got to second shoot for fellow Waterloo-based wedding photographer, Taylor Jackson for this one, and we’ve teamed up with Toronto Videographer Norris Wong of Norris Films
The ceremony was held at a church on Mazo Crescent, in Mississauga. A heads up to couples who are planning to get married there: Photography is not allowed during the ceremony and they’re very strict about it. ( The exact address is 1700 Mazo Crescent, Mississauga )
We got some formals done partially at St Lawrence Park, Tall Oaks Park and Adamson Estate. Finally to Grand Victorian Convention Centre (Radisson Plaza Hotel) for the reception.

We were originally planning on having the engagement session done at High Park in Toronto when the cherry blossoms reached their peak, but the unfortunate rain caused us to postpone for another date, and so we had to skip the cherry blossoms. Our back up location was to shoot at Terra Cotta, but we didn’t take into account the $150 that we would have had to pay in order to shoot there, and so we decided to head to Silvercreek, which is located in Georgetown, not too far from Brampton. After that we headed back to downtown Brampton at Rose Theatre, near Brampton City Hall, to get some more photos done! Five minutes after, it rained for about…forever. The timing was pretty much spot on!
Kira was such a lovely little girl to work with! She was really shy at first and would not look at the camera, not once. Eventually she started having fun and just ignored the camera and began running around. She still would not look at the camera but I still managed to capture some great shots of her! There’s one picture of her that is my absolute favourite!
Mark and Yolanda have been together for a very long time and they are now finally getting married! Any who, I absolutely cannot wait to shoot their wedding! I will be going on vacation to Mauritius Island in July, for 3 weeks, and will be back two days before their wedding day!

Wedding Photographer Dustin Hall, of dustinhallphotography.ca, got married in Fergus, Ontario. It was a small wedding but hella fun! Robyn was such a gorgeous bride, and her freckles… Gotta love her freckles! I don’t know about the boys, but the bridesmaids were surely gorgeous! Fine, the groomsmen looked ok! haha!
As you can see, this is only part 1 of their wedding day. Since Fergus was pretty much surrounded by farmlands, Dustin & Robyn wanted to have their wedding formals done in a barn, etc…Unfortunately for all of us, it was pouring on that day and there was absolutely no way for us to get those done. I knew that wedding formals meant a lot to them, and since we couldn’t get that done, I thought that it would in both of our interest to have it done on another day, after they get back from their honeymoon, and they were totally stoked with the idea

I got the chance to shoot Amy and Kevin’s wedding with Elena, Live Pixels Photography, again, and it was such a blast! They had a very traditional ceremony in Oakville, and the reception was held at the Oakville Golf Club, and it was filled with so much laughter! So much laughter that even I could not stop laughing during the speeches!

A few weeks ago, I got to second shoot the wedding of Sonya & Derek, with the amazing Elena Golijanin of LivePixels Photography. Derek was one of the funniest groom I have ever encountered, and Sonya would just laughed histerically at his jokes! You could tell that those two were definitely made for each other! Both ceremony and reception happened at the Intercontinental Hotel, located right across the Royal Ontario Museum, in Toronto. The wedding formals were done at Union Station and St. Lawrence Market.

This engagement session had to be one of the most fun sessions I’ve ever been part of. Dustin Hall, a fellow wedding photographer of mine, based in Burlington, had asked me if I could shoot his wedding and the only thing I could think of, was a “yes!”. They finally got some free time to have their engagement session done on the long weekend, so we headed to Milton. Milton was actually a really nice town to shoot, because it has the mix of old buildings and new ones. We got to shoot in Downtown Milton, and then we headed to a location that was not too far with tons of hay bales to play with! Dustin and Robyn were so fun to work with, and Dustin could pretty much see what I was seeing, so he knew exactly how to pose and when to do a certain pose, which totally made things so easy!
Anyway, Robyn & Dustin, I’m really looking forward to shooting your wedding in October! It’s going to be a blast!
