White Husky, Dakota – Toronto Pet Photographer

Here’s Dakota! She’s white Husky with bright pastel blue eyes! My friend warned me that it would take time for Dakota is not very fond of strangers, but everyone’s surprise, she warmed up to me instantly! Dakota can be very shy at times. When she saw me setting up the backdrop, she didn’t want any part of it, but eventually we managed to. She’s such a cute and fluffy 4 year old Husky!

Puppy Boxer, Sakic

Who knew that photographing a 10 weeks old puppy would be such a challenge! Ah, who cares! I was lucky enough and it was so fun taking photos of Sakic!  He would chew anything that gets in his way! My camera, my lenses, my bag, my socks, my arm, anything! Thanks to the Vena family for giving me this opportunity! I will also be posting photos of Chico and Dakota very soon!

Anywho, enough typing. Time for you to meet Sakic!

10 weeks old white Boxer – Sakic – Modern Pet Photographer

I got a chance to hang out with Sakic and his fellow furry four-legged housemates Dakota and Chico, a Boxer, Husky and a Chihuahua, respectively. I’m really glad to begin the new year with some pet photography! I’m really glad to have met Sakic! What a fun puppy he is! Actually, he is more of a chewing machine. Sakic will chew anything that gets in his way – camera lenses, beer bottles, backdrops, etc. Nonetheless, you just can’t help but to fall in love with Sakic because those puppy eyes are just begging to be loved! I always loved being around dogs. Actually, my dog taught me how to love, unfortunately she passed away about 7 years ago when she was at the age of 8, but let’s save that for a future blog post.

More to come very soon! If you have a a pet, any pet, dog or cat, puppies or kittens and would like to have them photographed, get in touch with me!

Jeffrey Chan Tin is a Toronto modern pet photographer, and willing to travel.

Evening Toronto Engagement session | Madhu & Peter

Well, what a fun engagement session that was! I’ve never done an evening engagement session before and thought it would definitely be something worth giving a shot at. We started shooting before sunset as I wanted to get a few shots of downtown Toronto around this hour and I think they turned out great! We got some photos done at the University of Toronto, around and about downtown Toronto and at Nathan Phillips Square.

Madhu and Peter, what a crazy and lovely couple! Full of life, always laughing and definitely made me laugh as well! I cannot wait to shoot their wedding! It’s going to be a blast! See you soon!

Wedding in Mauritius – Carine and Nicolas

My cousin Nicholas and his wife Carine got married in Mauritius, and they had asked me if I wanted to shoot their wedding! How could I refuse? Not only I got to go on vacation, but also got to see all my relatives who I haven’t seen in years! It was definitely worth getting away from the Canadian lifestyle for a while and going back to what I used to be used to. I guess all my relatives took advantage of that as well and all flew from Montreal, USA, Cape Town, Australia, Reunion Island (Google it), England and probably other countries that I cannot recall or forgot to list. It was such a big reunion and something that I will cherish forever.

Their reception was held at Domain Anna, Flic en Flac
The photos taken at Nicholas’ house were taken by my second shooter, Farhana Toorab.

Lisa - These wedding pics are great. Mauritius looks like a beautiful place to visit!

My 3-week vacation in Mauritius

So I finally found a bit a free time to write this one. I finally got the chance to head back to Mauritius Island once again, for the 3rd time. I left Canada around mid-July and flew back on August 2nd. 3 weeks was definitely not enough, but as you probably already know, everytime you think that your vacation was not long enough it means that you definitely enjoyed every single minute of it!

My uncles took me out for a hiking at Black River Peak, 850m high which is also the highest point. I never been hiking before that and I was not sure what I was getting myself into but I was definitely ready to face what was to come. Once I reached the top, I felt a great sense of accomplishment  and the view from up there was absolutely mesmerizing! I always got to see motherland from street level, but getting to see it from up high was just mind blowing and it looks so different and so peaceful.

Hey! Don’t forget to click on the images to view a larger version! Enjoy!

Grand Victorian Convention Centre | Yao and Al’s mississauga wedding

What a fun wedding this was, and what a fun couple were Yao and Al! I got to second shoot for fellow Waterloo-based wedding photographer, Taylor Jackson for this one, and we’ve teamed up with Toronto Videographer Norris Wong of Norris Films

The ceremony was held at a church on Mazo Crescent, in Mississauga. A heads up to couples who are planning to get married there: Photography is not allowed during the ceremony and they’re very strict about it. ( The exact address is 1700 Mazo Crescent, Mississauga )

We got some formals done partially at St Lawrence Park, Tall Oaks Park and Adamson Estate. Finally to Grand Victorian Convention Centre (Radisson Plaza Hotel) for the reception.
